A 4-Coat Globalcote System in Wallaby
For this Kippa-Ring home, the existing cement tile roof was fully restored using a 4-coat Globalcote system in Wallaby, giving the roof a clean and refreshed appearance that complements the home.
The restoration began with essential repairs to the ridge caps, including rebedding and repointing to help ensure the roof was properly prepared before coating.
A Primecote Highbuild primer coat was then applied, followed by three Elastacote membrane coats to complete the 4-coat system. The Wallaby colour provides a modern, neutral finish while the coating system is designed to provide a durable finish for everyday Queensland weather exposure.
Alongside the roof restoration, the front of the house was also repainted, helping create a more consistent and refreshed appearance across the property.

We completed a metal roof painting project in Bridgeman Downs, Queensland, along with the installation of a new gutter guard system. The existing metal roof was given a complete refresh using a 3-coat Dulux Acratex Membrane system in Surfmist, creating a clean, modern finish that made a huge difference to the appearance of the home. The project also included gutter guard installation, helping keep leaves and other debris from building up in the gutters.
Restoring an Existing Metal Roof
Metal roofs are built to handle Queensland conditions, but years of exposure to the sun, rain and changing weather can leave the surface looking faded, chalky or weathered.
Rather than automatically replacing an ageing roof, metal roof painting and restoration can be an option when the existing roof is still suitable for restoration.
We used a 3-coat Dulux Acratex Membrane system in Surfmist.
Surfmist is a popular light neutral colour that gives the roof a clean and contemporary appearance while working well with a wide range of exterior house colours.
